Problem

Heater doesn't blow warm air - engine overheating after a long run...

Solutions

1. Check the seals on the radiator cap, if they appear to be damaged

in any way then replace the cap. The integrity of the seals ensures that

the cooling system automatically bleeds any trapped air from the system

when the engine goes through a warm up / cool down cycle

2. Remove and inspect the water pump. The impellor blades should be

around 20mm long. On my car (107000 miles) the blades had almost

completely rotted away.
